MMCC is running an intensive “Syrian Newcomers Integration Program” for the new Syrian families settled in and around the Mississauga neighborhood. We have identified an urgent need to help resettle the Syrian newcomers who are already in Canada. There are around 250 families who are currently being placed in Mississauga looking for help.

MMCC is well placed to provide services to the Syrian newcomers with our Arabic speaking scholars, volunteers, and support staff.

Some Services that we are offering which will help to integrate Syrian newcomers into our Community are


This is a longer term commitment to be assigned as a ‘mentor’ with a specific Syrian newcomer family and to help them integrate into the society. This is a very rewarding position with a support network established to help the families.


Help Syrian children and adult get back on track through Education!

Saturday school for Syrian children and adult with Arabic speaking teachers teaching Islamic subject and computer skills from 11 am to 1 pm

  • – Topics include
  • – Quran
  • – Islamic studies
  • – Aqedah
  • – Canadian Culture
  • – English Level 0-2


– Free non-perishable food items offered to Syrian families among others
– 80 families registered with a total of 350 people food provided to on a “weekly” basis
– Cost of food bank is $2000 per week ($25/family/week)
